Living Saved, Single and Unhappy

  1. Your blog makes me sad. I cannot understand how people could believe that a God, who is the source of love and of light, could not care about the happiness of the creatures that God created.

    1. I think it can happen like BellaGyrl says below: “lot of times things that are taught from the pulpit without the understanding of the heart of God, and when this happens things can be said that damage in unintended ways.” And then there are other times I just think I’m crazy or stupid for paying attention to the teaching.

      1. Mariam,
You are not crazy or stupid. You are trying to find your way, as we all are. I read your column in the NCR and know you are good and smart and beautiful on the inside. From your photo, I know you are also beautiful on the outside. I think that what happens is that too often we try to make God into the image of people, with all of our limitations. I wish you all the best.

  2. As a single christian woman I can identify with this post. I find that a lot of times things that are taught from the pulpit without the understanding of the heart of God, and when this happens things can be said that damage in unintended ways. I believe for you and me that Gods purpose will be revealed by him speaking directly to us about his will as far as marriage/dating is concerned.
